WI 23 is a freeway for 3 miles west of I-43, and then turns into an expressway for 8 miles, and ends when you get to Plymouth. It converges to 2 lanes just before the WI 67 interchange. Nothing is known about any extension projects, although WI 23 from Sheyboygan to Fond du Lac is a primary Wisconsin corridor, and more than likely will be an expressway all the way by 2020.
